The group of children present had so much fun at the launch of this delightful book. This is a book about children and magic.
Well known singer / songwriter Tamara Dey sang about what the character Mary learned in the story. Magic bags were handed out to the children, five of whom received a flash stick with the music written especially for the launch by Ms Clifford and sung by Tamara Dey.
One of the messages from this book – follow your heart to love was another song sung by Ms Dey. ‘Dance and sing, hold hands with the universe….’
Where did Ms Clifford get the idea from the book? The universe, of course! Ms Clifford sees herself as the little girl in the story.
After a short reading from the book, and another song from Ms Dey, the audience joined in to sing ‘Dance and sing, hold hands with the universe….’
The second and third books have been planned and writing is underway for further stories in this series.
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon spent with enthusiastic children and a very vivacious author.
