The first Tuesday of every month, like-minded people come together to meet a South African author who has written something of value to business people in South Africa.

When I heard that this month’s gathering of the Business Book Club would in fact be a book launch and chat with the authors, I thought it might be fun……I was almost falling off my seat by the end of the event!

Both Iain Johnston and Trevor Nel kept the evening light with their witty banter but also shared some of their incredibly simple, yet so very profound, business acumen, always leaving us with “You’ll have to buy the book to …..”!

Jacques Velleman (founder of the Business Book Club) was hard pressed to stop these gentlemen from nattering on as both enjoy sharing their knowledge freely. This however, was not the point of the evening. The point was to highlight the book (The Fixer Volume Two – simple ways to grow your business) though insightful questions relating to the authors business experience. I believe this objective was achieved, as the nattering was their way of showing that business is simple – people are complex and as soon as you get this little gem, the sooner your business can shoot for the stars.

A terrific session with two wonderful authors. If you are a business owner who wants their business to succeed and keep succeeding, or if you are thinking of starting a business, this is a go-to book for you.
