Did you know that Nonto Sibisi has the most beautiful singing voice? I did not, and was pleasantly surprised when she sang for us at her book launch (listen here to the clip).
The MC for the evening was Sanele Zulu, a wonderfully entertaining gentleman! His job was to
introduce a number of speakers who only had magnificent things to say about this multi-talented author. Thandeka Mhlaba treated us to some poetry while Sonto ended the evening by singing for the audience. In between we heard from Ms Linda Hlongwa (Member of Parliament, KZN); Ms Nono Cele (TV producer); Dr Reginald Chima (United Nations, Regional Adviser for Africa) and Mr
Thulani Zuma, her father.
Their comments included statements such as:
- she thinks and she does
- she encourages people to reach their potential
- she is unique and determined
- there are few like her
- she utters kind words that bring genuine change in people
What a legacy this beautiful woman is creating.
And remember, this book was written with YOU in mind......
It was a magical experience to celebrate this woman and her work.
