Emma had a best friend in Oliver until she hit her teens. Oliver turned away from her without telling her why. This has resulted in the two either avoiding each other or in passing snarky comments. Circumstances bring them together in a way neither could have envisioned. Will they be able to let go of the past and build a relationship with trust and truth?

Both Emma and Oliver are loveable characters – both strong and independent. The conversations between the characters is amusing: ‘How much have you had to drink? That’s just crazy talk. I want to find a delicious male specimen, not catch herpes.’ With supporting characters that are easy to relate to, this small town romance is sure to entertain you.

My favourite quote from the book is said by Emma to Carla: ‘Then you walk out with grace and dignity because you want a man, you don’t need a man, and you will survive whatever he throws your way’. What a wonderful message to all women.

A delightful light read for lovers of romance with an HEA.
